6 Months for 2 Months

Man, has it really been 6 months since the last time I posted? I’m so sorry.

Not.

hA!

So for the past 6 months, I’ve been focusing on getting out of the country. Saving every little penny I can. Right now I’m writing from a shitty hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia. Feeling like I need to write about how amazing this journey is, especially after Ken over at Japanese Rule of 7 posted today. Also, I desperately need to thank my Brother and Girlfriend for letting me even have this chance to leave America for 2 months.

2 WHOLE MONTHS. Seriously, can you believe that? What is this magic?

Anyways, so the plan is I fly to: Continue reading

Tsuso, or whatever it is.

This cute little cat laying next to my foot as I type this, trying to walk all over the keyboard, reaching out at my hands, and coming with me wherever I go. He watches me eat, play video games, sleep… I mean seriously he is some sort of stalker or something.

But that isn’t even the worst part. My brother left the cat behind with a warning, one that said, “He will literally try to knaw at your eyeballs while you sleep.” And boy-oh-boy he wasn’t lying. I have been getting awful sleep, but in the least I still have my eyeballs. The little sucker likes to claw at my scalp like he is going to make me bleed

Although, how can you hate a face like that. I wish I could attach an audio clip of how happy he is, I could probably roll him through the grass and the neighbors would think I’m mowing the lawn.

5 Reasons Why You Should Work For Starbucks

I AM A FULL TIME COLLEGE STUDENT. So I work at Starbucks now, and because I am so busy I just want to stay the college part so you don’t judge me or whatever. I used to work in a comfortable place similar to a stock brokerage during the summers, and I have been fortunate to be with some of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life. Especially Darlene, coolest chick on earth, cooler than my girlfriend, I say this only because she has probably been one of the most helpful people I have ever met, and by far one of the best managers I have ever had. A cool boss, makes a good job, you could be scraping cement off of a sewer and still have a good time with a cool boss.

1. Free College Continue reading

Life Through Death; Manga Novel Page 26

Three cloaked with hardened features stand at the doorway, two stand just inside the doorway while one dashes for Kana.

“Check this.” Kanagawa, slowly unbuttons his sleeve and pulls it back, but by this time the man already has Kana cradled in his arms. She obviously must be under some sort of heavy sleep spell because she doesn’t move a muscle. Continue reading

“Come onnnnnn, all you do is undermine me.”

“Well that’s because that is where you belong, haven’t you ever hear of respecting those above you, like your boss or elders?”

Rubbing the peak of my nose in-between my eyes, jeez, this guy causes a lot of stress. Continue reading

Headed To Atlanta for Japan?

So, yeah. I’m driving to Atlanta this month, because  I was somehow accepted into the amazing MEXT program. I honestly don’t know how. The Japanese government asks me to head down there for an interview, and if I manage to do just everything right in April I’ll be shipped off to Tokyo with my ticket paid. Shipped somewhere else, and have my college paid for. With about 117,000 yen a month to live off of that the government gives me. If I use that money wisely and carefully, in Japan that 117,000 yen a month feels like 3,500 – 4,000 American dollars a month. I still have no idea what’s happening, but I’m happy just to have the opportunity to do this. 1 year of language training so far, once I get there I will have a through year of language training, and 5 years of Japanese University studies.

Wish me luck, please, with everything you have so that I can accomplish something that would make me happier than a hindu cow.

Throwing my feet up onto the table as I say it, and putting my hands behind my head of course.

Hearing the rustling in the bathroom, and the horrendous sound of various items breaking I get up suddenly and fling open the door.

I see him straightening his aqua/cyan-ish colored tie, total school uniform. Same as the last time I saw him. Haha. Opening the door so fast does this little flick of his silvery white hair that should have been in slow motion. Chiseled jaw line that even the mirror can hardly reflect it is so sharp. “Wow, looks like she won’t bother us for a while”

“Well considering you just made her pass-out you are obviously a little much for ‘normal’ people”

I grab one of the gel pillows off the bed and put it under her head, realizing she really isn’t all that heavy and start to pick her up. Leaning back down to grab the pillow then shortly after putting it on her chest to carry both. She holds the pillow and I nod in the direction of the doorway to Kanagawa.

“You really shouldn’t scare people like that, they can’t handle it, so try to keep it on the low you idiot”

I slowly set her down onto the couch, placing the pillow behind her head, and then putting her hands forced down by gravity alongside the couch, to a more comfortable positon onto her chest. Continue reading

Life Through Death; Manga Novel Page 22

As I show off my room that lacks even a speck of dust, it is starting to feel a bit obvious that I avoid the death of my father every time.

She notices the bear laying on my bed all curled up.

“I didn’t notice you had a pet! None the less such an adorable Bob-Cat…” As she examines it closer, “Wow! Look how milky his fur is. He is a little chubby though…”

As her hand moves toward him. “Nonono! Don’t do that!” Continue reading

Rice. You’re Doing it Wrong

So, this is very similar to another post on Japanese Rule of 7  http://japaneseruleof7.com/how-to-make-rice

(Go check the article out and his awesome website)

Although I thought I could simplify it a bit for those lax people out there.

Step 1: Grab a nearby beer, if no beer, hard liquor because this is going to be, wait for it, a freakin’ difficult process.

Step 2: If you haven’t already, buy some damn rice ya idiot. Who makes rice without the rice!?! Sailors just don’t sail without an ocean, so go grab you some rice. Continue reading
